Plastic Molding Chemicals

Xlub 810UN

Material description

Organic modified fatty alcohol phosphate and 200GF is partially neutrialized one.

Features

· Protects ferrous metal molds from corrosion during storage.

· Elimination of some adhesion problems during applications of finishes, printing inks, or adhesives to the molded part.

· No adverse affects on the rate and cure of polyester resins and obtained completely stress and strain  free products.

· Reduced release agent cost on utility basis when compared with other more conventional mold release agents.

Application

• Internal release agents for molding of unsaturated polyester resins for SMC and BMC.

• Internal mold release agent for pultrusion molding of fiber glass reinforced polyester resins.

Treatment

Usage For internal release in polyester resins, 0.5 parts Xlub 810UN per 100 parts resin are recommended for initial trials.

Lower or higher rates may be required depending on the resin characteristics.

Typical ranges fall between 0.25 and 1.50 parts per 100.

Conditioning of the mold may be required with certain resins where either  higher usage rates or external application of a 5% solution of Xlub 810UN may be required for several runs prior  to starting the molding run.

Toxicity and Precautions

Xlub 810UN is slightly to practically non-toxic orally (LD50>5500 mg/kg).

Gloves and safety goggles should be employed when handling Xlub 810UN .

Because Xlub 810UN is corrosive, contact with eyes and skin should be avoided.

Xlub 810UN should be stored in a cool, dry place in sealed containers.
